Cube Sweet Cube
Sculptor Stephan Balkenhol now has a new live in studio courtesy of architects Numrich Albrecht Klumpp. The 380 square meter space follows a restrained design so as not to upstage the artist's work, while an upstairs gallery allows additional vantage points and grants access to a small living space. While the available images seem a bit barren, the studio's overwhelmingly white space will soon be home to a wide wooden population.

Early Schinkel
Das Molkenhaus - early Schinkel work in Bärwinkel, Brandenburg built 1802-3. Before he traveled to Italy and France and got all 'edumacated'.

Rails to Trails
Work has begun on Berlin's newest park at the former railyards of Gleisdreieck. Artful renderings - like that above by Atelier Loidl - already have us dreaming of picnics on the railbeds and cinema beneath the stars next summer.
