The cornerstone was laid today for the planned memorial in Hildebrandstraße to the 2,600 Bundeswehr soldiers killed in action since 1955. Architect Andreas Meck has designed a translucent hall of honor whose bronze color cladding recalls the dogtags of those who gave their lives to their country.
