Tonight the Zeughauskino screens four short films produced during the National Socialist dictatorship which present the regime's architectural aesthetic. Film expert Ralf Forster will provide an historical introduction to the shorts: Das Haus der Deutschen Kunst (1934, Armin Hausladen), Die Bauten Adolf Hitlers (1938, Walter Hege), Das Wort aus Stein (1939, Kurt Rupli) and Deutsche Arbeitsstätten (1940, Fritz Brunsch). I think we'll need extra popcorn for this one!
Tonight's screening is a part of DHM's film series Kunst des Dokuments - Architektur. Keep up with this and other interesting architectural goings-on in Babylon on the Spree with our handy Baustelle Berlin GCal!
